Notoriously Morbid

I recently ordered from Notoriously Morbid while they were having a 40% off sale.  This post will be pretty photo heavy, as I took advantage both of the sale, and the Beauty Blogger Package that Notoriously Morbid offers.

I purchased five full-size shadows, one mini, and the Beauty Blogger Package.  I also received two additional samples, and the business card offers a code for 20% off my next order!
On to the swatches, which are all done over De Leon Cosmetics Eye Primer.

So many swatches, so many gorgeous colors!  My favorite, by far, is Forgotten Dreams.  I also wish I had gotten Lizard on a Window Pane in a full-size (it was a sample).  Friends told me it was amazing, I should have listened!  All of the colors apply well, with great color payoff.  I will definitely be buying more, and can’t wait to try the lip products!

Super Quick EOTD

I was running late this morning, and grabbed my go-to palette for a quick smokey eye.

image

The Almay Wake Up palette in 020 Exhilarate is perfect when you are in a hurry.  It has a primer, and three complementary eyeshadows.  I was in such a hurry I didn’t have time to snap a before photo, but I did take a photo after 11 hours of wear.

I really appreciate the formula of the primer and the shadows, and how well they wear.  It’s also convenient that you can pick this up at your local drugstore.

I really love Young Blood, and will be getting a full-size of it.  Later this week, I will also be using these colors to do a couple looks with.

With all of the different subscriptions available, which ones are you most interested in?

Haircut and quick FOTD

I am not very consistent with getting my haircut, my last haircut was around five months ago.  I took the plunge an had it cut today.  I really like it at this length, but I suck at styling my hair, so it will always be straightened like this, wavy, or up in the front.  And I’m OK with that.

I also did a quick FOTD, using I+T Alchemy’s Vicious Rapture and Shiro’s The Tears of Retail Employees as a highlight.

Storage

I have way too much makeup and bath and body products.  I wouldn’t change a thing, but it does make storage difficult.  I decided a couple years ago that I wanted an old secretary to use as a vanity.  It works great for me because it allows me to store a lot and doesn’t take up a lot of horizontal space.  It stores all of my makeup and perfumes.

And here are photos of all of my eyeshadows and perfumes, because I organized them all before taking the above photos:

image

I am going to need to figure out a better way to store my eyeshadows.  I like to organize them by color, but it is hard to keep them organized that way and add in new colors as I purchase them without completely reorganizing all of the eyeshadows…or maybe I need to stop buying eyeshadows.  That’s pretty unlikely though.

This hasn’t solved all of my storage issues.  My lotions and oils have started to take over the bookcase next to my vanity…

image

I wish that was everything, but it isn’t.  I have a ton of additional products in my hall closet, including my ridiculous bar soap stash.  The goal for this year will be to work on condensing storage, and figuring out an easier way to store my eyeshadow, while still having it close by to use.

Quick Polish Post

I will never be a nail blogger.  I like my nails pretty short, I overwash my hands, and my cuticles are terrible.  That being said, I love to paint my nails, and change the color a couple times a week.  When I change polish, I plan to snap a few photos and share them here, with a link to the company.  From here on out, polish posts will be short and sweet!

You Polish is one of my favorite indie nail polish companies.  Before they became You Polish, the company was named Make Up Your Face, and this color is ‘We’re Out of Rum’.
I like neutral nails, but can’t deny my love of glitter.  This polish dries super fast and applies easily.  The only drawback is the red circles are hard to get out, but I don’t mind at all because I didn’t want any red this time.
